Sketches help us to quickly capture motifs or ideas. Here, we tend to draw quickly and with less detail. In this exercise, I will therefore introduce you to simple sketching techniques that you can use to create impressive sketches in no time at all. Introduction to quick sketches<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

For quick sketches, you tend to use simple geometries and lines to capture the subject. In this exercise, we will mainly work with simple sketch lines and hatching. Here we will use a few different hatchings to create dark and light areas. If you apply more pressure to the pencil, you will get darker lines. Less pressure creates lighter lines. We can also use the flat side of the pencil to create softer transitions. Here are some examples of the hatching used:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
